Our Story
Bzy Burgers is a Minnesota-based burger company built by artists, for artists, and supported by community.
What started as an idea funded through the work of dancer and choreographer Colin “BzyChln” Edwards and Meridian Movement Co. has grown into something bigger than food.
Bzy Burgers was created to build sustainable opportunities for artists while serving high-quality smash burgers rooted in local partnership and intention.
Our burgers are made using a custom beef blend that combines Wagyu with locally raised, grass-fed beef sourced from a Black-owned Minnesota farm focused on pasture-raised practices. Supporting local matters to us. Supporting people matters even more.
Bzy Burgers directly sponsors Meridian Movement Co., a Black male dance company focused on redefining masculinity through movement, emotional honesty, and community-centered performance work. The company uses dance as a tool for storytelling, healing, and cultural reflection.
Our ecosystem is built differently.
Many of our employees are dancers and artists connected to the company. Bzy Burgers helps create additional income opportunities so artists can sustain themselves beyond performances and short-term gigs. In return, the artists help shape the culture, energy, and future of the business.
We also believe ownership should be shared. Members of the team are able to earn percentages of the company, allowing quarterly profits to cycle back into the people helping build it. The goal is long-term sustainability, not just for the business, but for the artists, dancers, and creative community around it.
When you support Bzy Burgers, you support bigger dreams.
You are helping fund living wages for artists, independent Black-led art, local agriculture, and a community trying to build something lasting together.
Bzy Burgers is more than burgers.
It’s an ecosystem. 🍔⚡
